The West Torrens Eagles Lacrosse Club has taken on feedback from a number of people in the community regarding membership, and is adopting a new system in 2026 that aims to be more inclusive for people who are not lacrosse players, as well as simplify payments for players. It also aims to increase participation by providing incentives at the Eagles bar throughout the season.
Club Membership
Membership Fee: $30
All lacrosse players must be members of the club. However, from this year, anyone can apply for membership to the club. If approved by the Eagles committee, after paying their membership fee, a member will be entitled to vote at the AGM or special meetings, and receive the following added bonuses:
- Receive regular Club Newsletters
- 10% discount on drinks all season at the Eagles Bar
- Free birthday drink (only 1 a year! Can be taken at any time throughout the year)
- One Eagles Key Ring
The membership fee has been designed to encourage wider community participation in the club, so that parents, grandparents etc. can contribute financially to the club and be a part of the Eagles community.
Player Fees
The State Organising body for Lacrosse (Lacrosse SA or LSA) charges the club for all people who play lacrosse. This cost encompasses administration costs to administer the sport, as well as insurance fees for all players. It is imperative that all players who intend to walk on the field to play lacrosse are registered and pay their fees. Early Bird discounts apply till 17 April.

Concession Fees are available to all Students and Concession Card holders.
Junior fees can be offset by School Sports Vouchers (up to $200).
NOTE1: All players must also pay the club membership fee in addition to the player fees.
NOTE2: Players from other clubs who play in an Eagles team or a team combined with another club should pay their fees to that club. They do not have to pay the Membership fee unless they also want to become Eagles members.
Discounts
Discounts are provided to club members who contribute to the club in some significant way in addition to playing in a team. This would include the following:
- Coaching
- Umpiring
- Actively participating in a committee role
The flat discount will be 50% from player registration fees.
Discounts will be determined based on proportionate activity, i.e. if you umpire for ½ the season, you get ½ the discount. Discounts will be determined by the Committee and refunded at the end of the season.
NOTE: Players should no longer apply their own discounts to player registration fees.

This year we will be running a Home Game Lottery for all dates where we have home games. This is to encourage members to come back to the club and have a drink and build the community.
- Drawn at the home game meal night
- You have to be a member to be in the draw (see Club Membership)
- You have to attend meal night to win.
If your membership number is drawn and you are not at the night, the value will jackpot to the next meal night. If there is a jackpot on the last meal night, a membership number will continue to be drawn until won by an attending member
